I'm still finalising my figures (ie madly scrabbling around to find ebay purchase proofs and remember not written down at the time bits n piieces before I have to submit!!) but it's looking to be around £700
Mine was £35.76 and that was for class 4 national insurance because I'd earnt just over the threshold! :clapping:
I'm jealous :( lol I do object to giving my cash away in this manner, far better when I was employed as you don't notice it or I didn't wanyway. Might investigate monthly advance direct debits for the future
So you need to go out and buy a lovely wooden house for the garden for around £700. Why pay it to the tax man
I cannot possibly fit any more equipment in Wendy! Too late anyhow, this was the one due in this January, will get on top of the current years right away after this one, I knid of let it creep up on me a little
I agree with Wendy go and buy something with that £700.00 I totally would.
but buying something fo 700 wont make your payable tax 0.00...it will just reduce it by a little bit....
i dont mind paying tax to be honest...of course it is different when you are self employed but if nobody would pay tax we would be in a right state....who would pay for all the services we take for granted??
Yipee, absolutely zilch! Earnt a reasonable ammount but spent a fortune on resourses!
Haven't earnt much for this year as have not worked for 6 mths so hopefully no tax next year either!
Carol :)
Dunno yet - am hoping nothing!:o
£324 for me including class 4 national insurance, too late for any more deductions so will be more careful next year and remember to deduct every last slice of bread!
mine was £900 and something:eek: But I have had a very good year, tbh I don't mind as it only worked out at £70 per month (I have been putting away £100) so overall it it worth it!! Hubby pays over £400 per MONTH:eek:
£350.00 - not too bad.
Excuse my ignorance here  But if Pudding girl's tax bill is £700 and she bought a gate for £700, surely that means that her tax bill would be zero? Aren't resources 100% tax deductable?
No it's only the 20% that you'd take off, you'd need to spend what is it over £3k to reduce the £700 to nothing.
Rubybubbles, it's just it coming off in a lump sum I hate it, have foudn the relevant bits on HMRC website to arrange a Direct Debit for future use so once I've submitted this I will arrange that.
far too much - :crying: :crying: :crying:
£ 0.00 :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
(only cos I made a huge loss  ).
I am a bit border line for this year though, so might have a spending spree in March to offset any tax payable.
£0.00 but not sure about next year as I have been busier
I actually got money BACK!!
OK it won't pay for a cruise as it was £25.00 but it's still money from the tax man rather than the other way round!! :D
too much, must try not to earn as much
£1500 - because I've also been an employee :panic:
£1000 for tax 08/09 and £500 upfront for 09/10 which I think is a damn cheek.
I know - great isn't it. I had the sense to change my tax code to a higher end so for 09/10, I have already paid a load of tax which I'm hoping, will cover the majority of what I would have earned. Once I've finalised my figures, will ring them to ask them how this actually does affect me and do I have to pay them £500 now and £500 in July as it could be a lot less. Keep your fingers crossed.
0.00! Very pleased.
£1654.60 with another £553 due in July!
However saying that if I had a job that paid me what I actually took in gross this year it would be a hell of a lot more than that!! ;)
£0 !!! But only because I started minding at beginning of March 09 so only had 1 month of minding plus a very small amount of my other job's earnings, so at a loss this year!
Does the amount you pay depend on what you come out with at the end. Do you have to have earned a certain amount each year after all expenses paid? I only have 3 mindees (2 of them after school) so income pretty low and most if it goes on resources to improve my 'settings' for current and potential mindees
for some reason mine was 40p
I think i messed mine up some how
40p lol, well I have heard of people being sent debt letters for a 2p payment so it must happen sometimes to get such a strange amount.
Now then are you going to ask if you can pay it in installments??
£6.00::clapping:
£0.00 I only mind 3 pre schoolers 1 full time and 2 part time, two of which are term time only so swings and roundabouts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr and Mrs tax owe me money:laughing:   but i am sure they will fnd a way of reducing the amount somehow, i had a play room built so that was a big chunk of my expenses! i'll keep my fingers crossed though!
£440 (tax and NI) but as I had paid nearly £900 on account I'm due a refund of about £450 which is nice!
Just got a tax refund of over £700 :D Tucked it into straight into a savings account as I don't think I'm going to be so lucky next year, business is booming!
:clapping:
tax refund of £140
better in my pocket than theirs
