I have just been on ebay looking at the printable resources for story sacks, surely there must be somewhere that we can get them without paying or paying as much as people are charging!?

we like story sacks and make them
I was thinking the exact same thing last night! Not sure I have imagination to make it all up myself!
I have used clip art on computer to print off pictures and made backgrounds myself by painting ply wood. I also use Google photos/pictures and you can get almost any image.
You could make props with the kids e.g. lollipop sticks with a picture on and get mindees to colour them in/stick on or sockpuppets/ sew little finger puppets or check local charity shops for teddies (animals, etc) to match up with stories.
I find using things from around the home too e.g. golilocks and three bears (3 different sized bowls, 3 spoons and three teddy bears...) Or Handas supprise use pretent fruit and a basket and then print out pictures of animals or scan them from the book....
Hope that helps abit....you dont have to spend much and most things you may already have! :)
What books are you putting in them, that will make it easier for us to find resources for you.
I'm making one at this very moment, got the laminator out.
It's going to be about the book all kinds of people.
Ive got a bingo game that i am laminating and some disability flashcards free from free eyfs childminding resources.
Then i;m going to have the book, ive got a little african boy finger puppet and a professor X fromx-men in a wheelchair.
i'm also going to put a little mirror in there and a people of the world matching game.
Ive bought a set of 5 plain sacks that i will use and have designed a little transfer with a picture of the book and some multicultural pictures that i will iron onto the sack. I will post a picture when it's all done.
thats why i was posting this morning asking where i can get some images showing disability so that i could add to the story sack :)
There are some here that are reasonably priced

You could try that with whichever books you are doing & see what comes up.

Something to do with days of the week?
In Boots yesterday I saw a Hungry Caterpillar toy (actually, I think it was a wash mit!). It was a butterfly that could come out of the cocoon. Quite sweet.

Been reading up about story sacks on here, and going to make some up myself. One of my much older mindies bought me round the hungry caterpillar and some bugs fuzzy felts, which were great, so going to use those as a starter.
Also I bought Owl babies the other day in The Works.
Do you leave these bags out all the time, or do you just leave one out and swap them around
All my LO's LOVE owl babies. I haven't got any story sacks at moment, maybe I should make some - which have been the most popular ones you've done anyone?
