Well after making half a dozen to see them all collapse in a heap we finally got there in the end
I did the cutting out the children did the rest

We also made a fan
I used finger paints for both the lantern and the fan I found it easier with the children only being 2 and 3 years

wow they look fab. We are going to tackle these next week - fingers crossed they turn out like yours

Thanks Angel. I have only just returned to childminding after my fathers funeral and hadn't even realised it is Chinese New Year! I hope to have a go at these tomorrow - I need a distraction and I think these lanterns may just fit the bill!
