For the next few weeks we are doing activities related to Autum Monday we went on a nature trail and saw a scarecrow in the field so hence the "squarecrows" and my LOs call them hope you like the pics

They are great. Why can't I ever have good ideas like that, I'm totally rubbish at this. Not a creative bone in my body!!!! Doesn't help when I say to my lo, shall we go and find some leaves in the garden and he says "no thank you Sue".!!!!! I feel like I'm dragging him out there and he's really not wanting to be bothered.

We usually do things with wooden spoons also and we make people out of them - what a great idea to make scarecrows wish I would have thought of it

I not brave enough to have leaves displayed like that would be clearing up every couple of mins, have one lo who just throws anything he can get his hands on.

Squarecrows are great. Never thought of using spoons like that! Always simple people.

I love the scarecrows too. A very effective, colourful and EYFS friendly display. My only critisism is that it isn't in my house. I don't really have room for such a lovely display and I am now really jealous.
