I was wondering what people think about having an Outdoor play/learning policy, as at the moment I am living in a flat and have no garden.
I would like to reassure parents (and Ofsted) that although I have no garden here that the children will have plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and fresh air.
I am lucky enough that I am a 2 minute walk from the local park, have my mum living along the road - who has kindly said I can use her garden whenever I like (would that be allowed with Ofsted?) and am a short bus ride away from another large childrens play area with woods and nature trail.
It is my intention that I would visit the park or my mums garden daily (probably morning and/or afternoon around the times of the school run) and then once a week have a special trip to the larger play area and nature trail.
I would like to make it clear that I intend to take the children out rain or shine, the only exception being in adverse weather conditions (ice/snow etc).
Should I include photos of the parks and my mums garden? So they can see the equipment/resources on offer?
It is the one area really bugging me with regards to starting-up. I am already on at hubby to move to a bigger house with a garden
