Hi, I have my first mindee leaving on Sunday and was just wondering what I need to do with his paperwork. I have put all the photos I have of him onto a CD for the parents and will obviously delete the pics from my PC when he leaves, but what do I do with his contracts etc? Is there a certain amount of time I need to keep them for?
Any advice would be appreciated! I know I have my 1st inspection looming soon as I have been minding 5 months and registered for 7 and have had the phonecall asking if I have children in the EYFS. Want to make sure I do it right!

You give parents the learning journey, photos etc.
You keep contracts, accident and medication documentation, attendance registers etc for...
NCMA says 'NCMA’s public liability policy lasts 21 years and four months and accident paperwork should be kept at least this long.'
Morton Michel says until the child is 21.

Blimey! I have the pics and the learning journal ready to give them on Sunday and will sort out a new folder for storing any old contracts.
