    Default Giving myself a name

I have been know as Helens Childminding but am now taking on an assistant in September and would like to give ourselves a more professional name.

What does eveyone think of "Jellybabies" Childminding or Rainbow Childminding or Little Ducklings. Honest advise please.

    Thanks Helen x

We thought of our name because it's where I live and it helps people to find us in Google.

I think anything catchy is good ... but also consider the ages of the children. If you care for a lot of after schoolers they might not appreciate 'little...' anything.

I have toyed with loads of different names and was "decided" on JellyTots but then like Sarah says, thought this might be a bit too babyish. So changed to JellyBabies and finally have now landed on JellyBeans!!

Totally depends on how you feel about your name though, can imagine it will get rather wearing after a while whatever you decide!!

We're LittleImps, everybody seems to have heard of us.

I got a Taxi home from a night out once and tried giving the driver directions as to where to stop (I live on a main road thats pretty long), anyway the driver said as we drew closer "Oh LittleImps why didn't you say so".

So the moral of the story is... It pays to get a memorable name.

Good luck with finding something that you like, perhaps turn it into a vote from the parents, children and your family

I am Tiny Hands Childminding, it does pay to have a name. I decided to go with a name because not a lot of minders around here use a buisness name, just there name and I wanted to stand out.

I chose mine because our FIS works in alphabetical order, once you've put your information in.

    So...

Something to bear in mind, I think.

    Moon on a stick

June and I have been thinking of calling ourselves Jigsaw Childminding/ers (not sure which) the J being June obviously and the C being me! We thought we could have a couple of jigsaw peices as our logo on polo shirts, invoices, newsletters etc. We are both registered seperately, but do work together quite a lot so seemed like a good idea rather than just being June & Carolyn !

Never thought about the FIS, but then when you put in our postcode I am on page 3 and June is on about page 6 of the cm's closest to the postcode
