Default Do both parents need to sign a contract?

Hi - sorry I have asked a couple of questions already but this is the last for now! I have a mum coming over tomorrow to sign the contract, is it ok for just her to sign it or do both parents need to as there is a space for both. Thanks, I am presuming it is just one but wanted confirmation.

Most of mine are signed by only one parent

But you do need to make that parent aware that they will be the one responsible for payment (sorry I know I am not making it clear) but say th other parent is the one who is actually paying if anything happens they will be liable for all payments.

Sorry I know thats not very clear hopefully someone will explain it better

I think NCMA recommend that both parents sign the contract.

I always get both parents to sign.
It is to protect myself regarding payment.

For example; If only the Mum signs and the dad moves out leaving the mum and stops payment, then it is up to the mum to find the money and sometimes they can't. If however the Dad has signed as well, you can go after him for payment too.

    Does that make sense?

It's fine to get just one parent sign, all of mine have been signed by just one.

I always get both to sign because then I can claim unpaid fees from either or both. Also binds both into all my terms and conditions.

If only one signs then they are technically the only one who has a Contract with you. For this reason both always sign and both always sign all the permissions and Policies.

Also if only one signs and they split, or worst case senario, one has an accident in the car and dies. You could find yourself with no Contract in place.
