I would stronly advise you to get the book I have put a link to Amazon. It is an excellent book and covers all aspects of the new Diploma Course.

If you have it if you look at pages 251-2, page 368 and page 343 it will give you the information you need to cover supervision.

Basically as cms we need to keep children safe in a number of different situations and at the same time comply with the Welfare Requirements of the EYFS Statutory Framework.

    Very simply.
It is all about how you manage the children in your care at all times. How you are aware of where they are, what they are doing and keeping them safe. So you have Risk Assessments.

You keep a Register so you know how many children you have and your ratios are correct.

What do you do when all the children are arriving and leaving your home. Are the other children safe, who is with them, can you see and hear them?

What will you do when you are out and about? Buggies, reins, armbands with a phone number on. Carry emergency contact numbers with you.

Hope this hels I do recommend getting the book though.
Are doors secure so a child can't wander out, also garden gates.
