Default Confused Daily Diary, Observations, learning journal

Hello, I am just trying to prepare myself to childmind. Would any one please advise me about the daily diary, do I just need just one, which I write into each day or do I need one for each child? If I need one for each child does this mean each child needs their own daily diary, observations book and Learning journal.

Also is it an EYFS requirement to give each parent a welcome pack?

Also I printed off a No Smoking Poster from one of the free resource internet sites but my pre-reg ofsted lady said it was incorrect and should not say ‘department for education and skills’ or ‘national standards’

As you can see I am very confused and any help on any of these questions would be most welcome.

You need one daily diary for each child

Yes you also need a learning journey for each child. This contains observations, individual planning etc.

Also is it an EYFS requirement to give each parent a welcome pack?

    No, but it's good practice.

You have to share certain information with parents - as stated in the Eyfs.

A welcome booklet or similar is as good a way as any.

Also I printed off a No Smoking Poster from one of the free resource internet sites but my pre-reg ofsted lady said it was incorrect and should not say ‘department for education and skills’ or ‘national standards’

I have no idea what you printed but it is not a requirement to display a no smoking sign.

As you can see I am very confused and any help on any of these questions would be most welcome.
    I hope this helps
