    Default Policies and EYFS

    Hi there ladies,

I've just finished maternity leave and admittedly have been a bit slapdash paperwork wise since i've not had any mindee's in the eyfs since June last year!

Have an interview next week, big contract I really want it, so its prompted me to get all my paperwork up to date!

I'm currently reviewing my policies and my question is - do I have to cross reference my policies with the EYFS Framework?

    i.e. Behaviour Management - Postive Relationships 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 for example?

The reason I ask is that my son's pre-school do this for their policies where it is clearly stated on them to cross reference to the framework?

Please please please someone tell me this is not applicable for childminders......if it is I have a lot of work to do!!!

    Thanks

You do not have to cross reference your policies and procedures to anything if you don't want to!!

If you do want to, there's a document in free downloads I wrote ages ago that will help...

It's called 'Eyfs and ECM operational plan'.
