I am trying to do a cleaning schedule...and I am stuck 5 minutes in..
if I write down what I do daily there is hardly anything left to do for weekly...
I could say deep clean weekly....or do I have to give details??
I am confused!

For weekly I have deep cleaning... cooker, fridge, windows, tiles.
Also calibrate thermometer and check for pests... but those might be on my safety checklist I can't remember

Oh my goodness, I didn't realise we had to have a cleaning schedule. Is this an Ofsted requirement or Environmental Health?
Linda
It's not a requirement but, like a lot of things, it's good practice.
I don't have one but a childminder I know had her daily, weekly, monthly cleaning schedule on the kitchen wall when Ofsted inspected and they loved it.

Keep smiling!
My husband would love it!!!
Linda.

At nursery we used to a have a weekly cleaning rota for tous too, so we would try and clean 2 lots with milton a week. That way if you have young ones that put everything to mouth then you know they are clean. x
mine is just a checklist exactly the same as my daily risk assessment checklist with the date along the top of the cleaning jobs down the side. I go through the list daily and tick off what I have done.
So daily I clean down kitchen surfaces (although wit is more like 10 times a day), Hoover, Tidy Toys, clean toilets,
Then twice weekly I will tick I have cleaned my hard floors
and weekly all the other jobs. I don't really have a deep clean as such everything is just done when it needs to be.
Also I only have the cleaning on the check list that effects my child minded children so I don't have cleaning windows and things like that.
Hope that helps a little

My oven is definitely well beyond Mr Muscle, think I may have to get one of those oven cleaning companies come in - wonder if I can claim that. But I have a daily checklist to ensure everything is safe and I ensure I clean the surfaces regularly. I don't state I will do a deep clean as time could be an issue, though I'm sure my husband would love it. I disinfect the bin lid regularly and wipe the shelves of my fridge weekly(ish).
I think you could go mad, but we do have lives as well, and I think most kids survive a bit of dirt! xxxxx
Hi..hmm maybe i have OCD as clean whenever i get a chance. I have no rota as such as eveything is clean! BUT that was when my mindee was a few hours a day and now i am not working and i start with the twins it will be a diff story! thinking of getting a cleaner as dont think i will be able to keep on top of it tbh.
My rules are that I do a hoover through after meal times, clean the kitchen as I go and do a whole house clean once a week. End of story LOL. I have nowhere left in my tiny house to display a cleaning schedule as well as fire escape plans and photos and certificates! LOL. Space on the wall to see my lovely peach paint work would be nice.
