Send policy
Can someone tell me what is the different between the send policy and an equal opportunities policy? Do I need to replace my equal ops policy with this or is it seperate ?

When the Eyfs was fiddled with in Sept they changed the equality of opportunity requirement to 'special educational needs and disabilities' to reflect the new SEND code of practice.
I think most cms have just tinkered with their equal opportunities / inclusion / SEN policy to cover everything

For me, SEND is part of 'Equal Opportunities' or 'Inclusion'.
'Equal Opportunities' or 'Inclusion' also includes equal opportunities or 'not discriminating' for gender/race/family structure/background/ethnicity etc etc

So reading through that the send policy replaces the equal ops policy? It's all rolled into one? Is that what everyone else has done? X

I'd say no, SEND does not replace Equal Opportunities:
SEND is nothing to do with anti-discrimination, and that is important to cover somewhere- how you do not discriminate, how you do not tolerate discrimination and how you encourage the children not to discriminate (so things like gender-stereotypes, racial issues etc).
It is up to you how you write and title your documents, but I would say you need to cover these other areas as well as special ed needs and disabilities (SEND).
