    Default In case of emergency

I'm really struggling to write my in case of emergency policy :-(
Does anyone have any tips please? Who do you use as your emergency contacts? Do they all have to have a DBS?
Sorry for all the questions, any input will be much appreciated. Thanks

I think there are so many possible scenarios for an emergency you can never cover it all, I just keep it simple- how you'd contact parents ASAP, keep children safe, leave them with a responsible adult if needed (they do not need to be DBS checked- a neighbour, a friend etc is fine- who knows on the day of a real emergency who is going to be at home or available!, so again, keep it simple and name some possible people- but bear in mind if it actually happens you will just be thinking on your feet and doing the best you can in whatever the circumstances are), how you'd need parents to collect ASAP.
I also state my evacuation plan about how I'd leave the house safely, and the details of our nearest A&E and Minor Injuries Unit. I cover accidents too- so accident prevention and general safety, first aid kits, me using first aid, logging accidents/incidents and informing parents of accidents/incidents.
