I'm with Direct Line and they've not charged me anything, they said there would be no change to my policy at all :-)

Our car insurance went up by about £50, this is with Hastings Direct. Helen
I am with ansvar via morton michel.
comparing what I would pay on confused.com to what I actually pay with mm is about £50. this year I think I paid £319 or something like that.
At least I have peace of mind that if one of the kids destroys something then I know I am covered. The tv is not looking good at the moment!! one of the kids has taken something blunt on drawn on the front screen of the t.v when its switched off you can see it but when its on you can't at the minute. so will have an accidental damage claim at some point in the future!
kids and flat screens dont mix
boo
I'm with direct line also and they haven't charged me anything extra either.
i'm with liverpool and victoria our building and contents together are just £319. where do they get their figures from. even my car insurance with michel morton is less than £300. just amazes me all these different figures. be very careful with santander i've had them mess me about with my isa.
most definately shop around. xx
Building and contents with Direct Line, car with Churchill - both RBS companies. The issue of being a childminder caused no complication at all.
Direct line have always done the best deal for me. They just don't cover any childminding cash if it is stolen from your house.
My buildings with Liverpool Victoria, contents through NCMA, was cheaper to do each one individually. Not that cheap though combined £670 but I am in London
Liverpool Victoria wouldn't insure us unless we had a burglar alarm fitted!!
