Re: Safeguarding - Refresher Course
I did this one recently!
I can recommend it if you have a secure knowledge of child protection / safeguarding already and are looking to update

Child Protection and Safeguarding are the names that keep changing backwards and forwards but they mean the same.

I have just done this course and passed It was a lot easier than I thought it would be and much more convenient than going on the training

This is a very old thread from 2009 Jo. The rules have changed since then ...
All main safeguarding training MUST be Local Authority approved. After that, you can do as many refresher courses as you want - but first your course must be via LA.
Hope this helps

As i've already done stage 1 & 2 but a few years ago does that mean i've got to do them again??
thanks

Good Evening all,
I have my Safeguarding training completed coming up for 3 years ago and I feel a lot has changed. However, my biggest concern is that my LA courses between now and the end of the year (December) when my Safeguarding training will be passed the three year mark are all during the week when I am working.
Are there any good courses on line that anyone can recommend? I have searched and cannot find any relevant and are online courses acceptable for Ofsted when being inspected? I am due inspection and want to be prepared, current and up-to-date.
My ideal would be a Level 3 course.
Many thanks in advance.
