Will today be the day?
Waiting for an inspector to come and do my first grading inspection this week, only working mon - weds and no show yesterday so today or tomorrow. Eeek! Just want to get it over with now but so scared! Plus the kids were a nightmare yesterday so really hoping they are better behaved for me when she's here!

Keep calm... relax... think before answering questions... it's not about the behaviour it's about how you handle it so be gentle and encouraging.
Good luck! Don't forget to let us know how you get on x

Did you have your inspection today?
-
Nope at least I know they'll be coming tomorrow!

The same thing happened to me. I could never understand why they didn't just give one day. If I was ready on the first day then I was ready on the second day too! It also messes up the children as I couldn't go to play group for two days!
But as you say you know they are coming tomorrow. Good luck

Well she's just left! Arrived just before 10am, all the children were sitting at the table having a snack so all very calm. She was very friendly and nice and put me at ease, after hearing about the horrid inspectors it was such a relief!
Then we went out in the garden and played with various toys, balls etc. played hide and seek for ages as the kids kept wanting to hide! We then did some sticker pictures sitting on the grass. They played inside for a while and then we had lunch/naps and then she left. Feel like it was all a bit disorganised but I just followed the children's lead and did what they wanted.
My DS was a nightmare, really clingy and kept having massive meltdowns for no reason, apart from that the others we fine.
So she gave me good overall and in all areas. Then said she was struggling to think of any recommendations so not sure why I didn't get outstanding but I guess I'll see more when I get my report back. She said she liked the learning journals I use and was very impressed with the two year check I did. She suggested doing a progress check every few months so there is an overview of where all the children are at in all areas. That's it really, not a huge amount of feedback.
Just so relieved its over and I'm happy with good!
