    Default help

Hi all..... I couldn't think of anyone better to ask (bare with me!!)

My son is in reception and has literally cried going to school everyday since September.... For 3 alternative days me the week I have to in to another lock school to drop a minded child off sometimes 2.... When this is the case my own son misses his line on the way in but isn't late as the door is still open.

This is now becoming vex hard to see my son cry everyday and am considering dropping the other school contracts I currently have to make my son life a little less rushed

Problem is is this the right thing to do?? What would you say to parents?? I cant see another way to help my own out?? I feel bad do the parents if I make a definate decision they have become friends and I like to work with them....i would also see them at pm collections at times as this isn't hold any issue te collection part its just the mornings

Sorry to ramble I just really don't know whats best I desperately wan my son to enjoy school and he is so emotional that any focus beyond 9am drop off is impossible for him to see

    Help

Are you sure that the crying is just because he's rushing into school?
He may still cry if you have only him and it may have become just a habit.
Ask the teacher how he is after 5 minutes as my own dd used to sob like her heart was breaking until I had left the building!
When she was older she told me she thought I would be happy to think she would miss me!!!

My thoughts are that if he's anticipating being dropped off, keeping him busy is a good idea, and if he's upset, long drawn out goodbyes rarely help. You may be better off sticking to the current routine?

Could you drop him first and then the others as they are clearly all in the same school from what you have said. That way he knows you are making him your priority and not rushing him, if you are sure that is the issue.

I know this may sound slightly cheeky, so apologies, but have you asked him why he is crying when you drop him off? It could be he hates school, misses you or something completely different. The other thing I did with my DD when she started school was to give her something small of mine to remind her of me. So could you give him something like a hanky or put a bit of your perfume on a tissue. Just a thought.

    Good luck.

    Sam x
