    Interesting

I had my inspectin end of Aug08 so days before EYFS came into practise. I was in limbo with Birth to Five.
Wonder when mine will be....fed up with the wait so Ive started to forget about it now as it could be another year.
Childminder up the road has just had hers and she was inspected in 07.

I'd be interested to hear if anybody has had two under EYFS. I had my first one in Dec 08 so am expecting a call anytime now and panic every time the phone rings

I had mine Nov 08, I phoned to say I wasn't childminding (but want to stay reg) they said fine, they wouldn't be out to inspected any time soon (this was in Sept, so effectivly overdue if I was)

I was inspected October 08 and thought it would be every 3 years so I've been expecting a call for the last two months. I would be interested to know what the inspection timings are.

I was one of the first-I was inspected in sept 08! I've also just moved house, so I'm jumpy every time the phone rings! I'm sure it will be soon
I just hope they give me this week and wait till after christmas-its so busy this time of year.

Looks as though nobody's been inspected twice under EYFS then, interesting

My understanding is that although most of us expect an inspection after 3 years that it is actually 3 - 4 years (I have read it somewhere recently) so unless there is a trigger for a more recent inspection then it could be up to 4 years.

Ofsted are now under pressure to complete this round of inspections before the new EYFS comes in - so anyone who has not had a EYFS inspection will be near the top of their list.

If I remember where I read it (think was an Ofsted doc) I will post the link.

I am back - sad person that I am - I have found the document

    This is the link

    http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/resources/i...dcare-services

And this is the relevant bit

    Inspection
We inspect providers on the Early Years Register at least once every three to four years and write a report, which we publish on our website.

And in another document it clearly says

Ofsted must inspect AT LEAST ONCE in every inspection cycle

My friend was inspected in early 2007 and has not been inspected since, so 4.5 years already and she does have several EYFS children on her books. If Ofsted don't hurry up she will end up not being inspected at all under the current EYFS!
