Sorry if you are upset by your grading but you know that you are doing a great job your mindees love you and their parents are not bothered by Ofsted's opinion

You have a lot to be proud of so don't worry about one Ofsted inspector's opinion

I'm sorry you're upset about your grading too. I've not had my inspection yet, even though I've been registered since July last year. I know that when they come I'll be terrible because I'm not good in those sort of situations. I know I'm a good childminder and have loads of resources and my policies and documentation are good, but I will have problems trying to answer questions and remembering all the stuff I know about ECM and the national standards.

Keep your chin up and remember that your mindees and parents love you and that's all that matters.

Hey there chin up she is an awl cow who doesn't get any grading on my scaleometer so there. I don't believe she was doing her job right is she left without reading all your policies - I think she was in a rush to finish work early and what is the point in her reading your policies at home once she gave you your grading - she had a ****** cheek to ask for that I'd complain about her if she has made you feel that bad or at least ask for a re-assessment if you feel that strongly about it - I don't think she behaved well at all. She might have been having a bad day and took it out on you but that is very unprofessional. - I cant make head nor tail of these inspection reports I've read a few done by the same inspector and the comments all seem similar yet childminders have been given different grades - how does that work?????????????

Don't be gutted babe, Satisfactory should be renamed in my opinion, because it is a very good grade and shows you are meeting the standards but just need a few changes.

It's a shame that they use the overall option. A friend of mine got 3 good and 1 satisfactory but still got overall satisfactory, it is so unfair because that is not the overall grade if 3 out of the 4 were another grade

Each inspector seems to look for different things, what one thinks is outstanding another seems to class as satisfactory, they should get their head together and come up with a fairer system.

Just sending you a big hug, i'm sorry you are feeling down about your inspection. As others have said all that matters is that your parents know how good you are and your mindees are happy in your care. I don't think some inspectors live in the real world and the rest of them havn't a clue about our work. They just need to tick boxes!!! Keep up the good work Sue X

    Hi.

Thanks for all your lovely messages.

This is such a great site.

I asked in the toy Library today if they had any "disability" toys, they told me that the only thing they have seen is a lego type wheelchair, something from Balamory, other bits are books and puzzles which i have, just out of interest has anyone else got anything else?

Seriously though you can get bits and pieces that are'nt too expensive.

It has really helped me to read this .It helps to know you are not alone.I only got satisfactory and was left in tears .I am still months after struggling to find my usual motvation.I was told there wasnt enough variety of healthy food and the sugar free drinks had e numbers in. The way I recorded childrens attendance was questioned the inspector claimed it should be to the exact five minutes but the ncma attendance register says approx times
