Well done too, I have just started recently and will be due an inspection in about six months, and I agree this site will be so helpful in getting organised.

Would be interested in reading your report so might be nice to put a link in when you have it.

[QUOTE=cherry;55172]Thanks to everyone for their kind words as I've been feeling a bit down, I know that sounds silly but when I've told my minded parents I got outstanding they've all said said "Oh that's nice, what happens now" and I've had to say well nothing.

Well, at that point, you should have said.." It means that my fees are going up !"

Hope you are feeling more positive about it.I don't think parents know how much work you have had to put into it.

Thumbs up Re: Ofsted inspection today

Know how you are feeling. I felt the same and still do a bit now. It is such a hush hush subject as you don't want to mention it to other childminders as it feels like boasting. There is also that dreadful pressure to maintain the standard!! Nice to be able to get the praise from people on this site. so well done and try to enjoy the moment. x

Thanks again for all your kind words, yes I do keep quiet about it when talking to other childminders because I don't want to seem as if I'm boasting.

I keep looking on Ofsted website to see if my reports up yet, I know they said it would take 2 weeks, but you never know.

Good luck to everyone that has an inspection coming up.

    Hi

I know just how you feel. Most parents haven't got a clue about what Outstanding really means - so I've been laying it on really thick to them and saying top 3% etc etc. because I want them to know it's something out of the ordinary!

    Well done you

    Hilary

    Thanks Hilary,

You've been childminding for a long time so you know how much it's changed and how hard we have to work now with so much paperwork.

    Congrats on your Outstanding

I'm a bit late with my congratulations but that's really wonderful! I got a giggle out of this:
I would love to celebrate tonight but I have a Promoting Positive Behaviour course
That would be why you've received an Outstanding!
Why is "phonics" not spelled the way it sounds?
