hi guys

have got ofsted coming tomorrow to talk about my request for a variation, i want to be registered for 2 under 1 years, but will only be for 2 months till the oldest turns 1, am really hoping they will say yes, (although its not till sept that i would need it), although i've only been registered for couple months and minding for only few weeks i'm feeling positive as when i had my pre inspection my own son was only 8 months as she was happy to register me to have another one under 1yrs as it was only for few months till mine turned 1 and i have worked in nurserys for the last 10 years (and been manager of one for the last 2 years) so she said i had plenty of experience etc.
What experience have any of you had with variations, do you think i've got a chance?

xx

if it does get granted it will mean i have a 9mth,10mth and 15mth!! that'll certainly keep me busy :jump for joy:

I don't think you will have any problems with this otherwise it would have been a blanket no.

They want to know how you will safeguard these children, supply enough variety of toys and use of space.

Good luck

How long did it take for them to get back to you? I've been waiting for about 3wks and keep ringing them to get told that I will have to wait as its been reviewed by the manager.

yeah i had that problem too, i sent in my letter over a month ago, and i rang every week to ask the progress on it and was just told each time that it had been allocated to an inspector and i'd hear in a few days, so the last time i rang (yesterday) i got a bit shirty (only a bit!) and they rang today to arrange to come out tomorrow morning!

well i got my varation :clapping: am so pleased, she was lovely lady, hope that i get her for my inspection, she gave me a bit of advice about my garden (which is very large) and was also impressed with my playroom, and planning/notices displays. She said i prob won't be inspected for a while yet as although i was registered in feb, only started minding last week.

anyway i'm off to settle on sofa for a night of waterloo and the apprentice, before a busy day tomorrow!
