I thought long and hard about my inspection and decided I didn't want another one, my report read quite well but I was still mad at her comments. I have 8 sets of parents and all of them are happy, the children love coming and that's what matters.

At my other inspection in March 2012...the inspector said ' Childminders don't get outstanding because they can't offer what a nursery can, nurseries network more and have more opportunities to receive children from different cultures, so its easier for them to show they are outstanding.....'

Thanks for your advice, this sounds like the same inspector I wasn't going to mention the diversity comments or the fact I don't have any children with special needs but I doubt she'll put that in the report!

when getting ready to be inspected it is worth reading the Ofsted guidance on what to expect and how inspector should behave...that is their Code of practice...or Code of conduct.

make sure you read it properly and raise any small worries immediately during the inspection

    https://www.gov.uk/government/public...september-2015

Inspectors are never to say a 'cm cannot get outstanding' ...if any inspector says that you have the right to report this to Ofsted ...it has been covered at OBC and the HMI have clearly stated inspectors cannot say that and must award outstanding if appropriate.
It did happen in the past but it is not allowed anymore...Cms are equal and get graded for what the inspector actually 'sees' on the day and records in her tick form which is them checked by Ofsted Quality Assurance team.
