Thank you all for your nice comments, it really was an enjoyable inspection, she offered advice as to what they would expect for outstanding and I totally agree with her that I was not doing things that good but she also understood as I only had one child it was a bit more difficult to show some things, she sat outside with us, she played with my mindee and gave me some constructive help with his development problems. I think it helped that although she hadn't been a Childminder she has worked in early years for a long time, in schools, pre-schools, nurseries and as a consultantancy capacity so she did actually know what she was talking about. It probably helped as well that she had only been an inspector for just over a year and so as she said, benefited from the new training regime. Teacake2
