First Graded Inspection - Over

Well Ofsted left at about 4.50pm and before she left she told me that she was giving me a Good overall with a couple of satisfactories (but not to tell anyone until I had my report! Whoops!). I'm over the moon as I was only expecting a satisfactory

I didn't manage to fill out all of my SEF but what I had done seemed in line with how she saw me anyway (bonus!)
My DD2 (2.3 months) also threw the biggest hissy fit at about 4.20 and spent the next 20 minutes screaming then promptly fell asleep on the floor in front of Mrs O

DD1 got stroppy when she couldn't do the activity properly and the 2 mindees where the only well behaved ones

I'm very glad it's over and so very glad that I found this forum. I may not post very much but I lurk and read everything

Well done you - if the inspector was worth her weight in salt then she would have totally understood about your daughters - Why do our own children always let us down -

Years ago when I was registering to be minder my DS who was usually so very very well behave and very sociable started walking along the couch and reaching up to a shelf that he never usually bothered with and never bothered with again while the Social Services woman was there. He never walked along the couch again and never bothered with the shelf again - I always had friends in the house and we'd always taken him everywhere, funerals, boring meetings at solicitors offices and banks when sorting our house move & hospital & doctors visits through out my pregnancy of my extra child - but for some reason he decided to act up.

Wow now you can relax and get on with your job - your SEF is not compulsory but it helps them with their assessment of your setting and should make the process shorter.
