Default How in depth do you link to Eyfs?

When i write up an observation i link it to all the areas that it apply's to....This could be 2 or all 6 areas of development.I then add the development stage that child is at.

    e.g:
OBS: Whilst playing with the sensory toys T realised that the ball lit up… he threw it down on to the table repeatedly.
    Link:KUW:1&3 (16-26 Months)
    PD:3 (16-26Months)
    CLL: 2 (16-26 Months)
Next Steps:Light and dark activity e.g. torches. More sensory play.
Am i linking too much? Shall i link to a specific development area?
    What do you all do?
I'm trying to reduce paperwork..with 8 Eyfs children i'm struggling to get everything done...

When I do a detailed obs I only ever link it to one area of learning and then follow through on next steps as well. The next ob will look at a different area of learning.

    i would usually put

    Observation

Evaluation: PSRN: numbers as labels and for counting (age range) x has shown that she can now (and then I insert the statement from the EYFS that evidences what she did)
if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got
