Default I have no idea what I am doing....

    .....please help!!

I have started minding a 12 month old, 3 days a week and as it is my first mindee, I am new to obs and planning.

I have made a few observations already - he is cruising, he loves the ball pool, likes making music on the keyboard and loves the sand table. I have started to link these obs to the L&D areas but I don't know how to then plan for next steps.

Do I plan things for the next day, next week, continuously? Do I plan activities based on the obs which meet each area of L&D?

Any help would be really appreciated, thanks!!

just keep it simple next steps for him likeing music play might be to find a music class, next steps for sand play might be to introduce him to another material like oats etc

I don't think there's a time limit for next steps - not all obs really need a next step. I number my obs and when something they've done is the next step from an observation then I write refer to page ***
