    Default help weekly planning

I have only been doing monthly planning on paper weekly and daily planning is always done in my head I have an Idea of what I would like the children to expirience and do my best to encourage this with toys and activities but as you know children dont always feel like it so I fit the ideas i have around the children there for no weekly plan but after my first inspection (got a good yeah) The one recomendation I got was that I need evidence of my weekly planing that I can then tie in to my monthly planning. How do you do this is it a hour by hour plan, an activity a day or simply 1 activity you plan to do in the week and ob? I would be very greatfull for any advice.

I have activity ideas like you but my daily / weekly planning is individual based on what the children want to do and what they did last time they were here.

I find it easiest to focus on individual needs and then have group planning running in the background which again is changed depending on what each child wants to do on the day.

    Hi
I keep an A5 diary, I write in the children who were there that day, what we have done, any plans, meals, unexpected things - such as decided to go to the park as weather good, showing flexibility. I use this for my daily/weekly planning. Every 1/2 term or so I do a planning and assessment sheet for each child including achievements this 1/2 term/next steps any activity ideas to help them achieve this. Then transfer all these ideas into my diary to make sure I will cover everything, for the more day to day planning. At the end of each day I fill in the diary to make sure it incudes everything we have done.

I am hoping this is ok, only just started got the idea from a more experienced cm and it I have found it really good and easy. Also good for keeping track on monies spent for your expenses, and for updating folders when they have their daily diary at home!

I really like this idea!!! Might start doing this for myself! Will make it soooo much easier cos I am rubbish at paperwork! Hate it with a passion!
If you do not hope, you will not find what is beyond your hopes
