Opinions please...
Title boy I care for is 35 months and has been doing this with crayons on and off all day...

Any ideas what area this would come under?
We've had a lot of discussion about shapes, colours, size and counting too...
I think I've got brain ache

Your picture made me laugh because I looked after a little one who did the exact same thing with those crayons! She 'had' a connection schema and would try and fit anything and everything together. Could come under physical - hand/eye co-ordination. Has he matched up the colours - I can't remember from the photographs. It's quite a good activity for developing early one-to-one correspondence. Maybe look up connection schema and see if it sounds like your mindee and then put out a few resources to help him further explore using his current schema. x
