Hi,
I had a LO start with me last week and have started my observations whilst waiting on the DMs back from their parents. I've sat down to do my weekly planning for the other LO i look after and wondered whether I have to do formal planning for the newbie yet or until I've got all my observations and made his starting points.

I spend some time getting to know the child - noting starting points - planning as we go along and writing things up later
