I mind a little girl who is 52 months. She has shown a lot of interest in our pet hamster and has been asking lots of questions about how we look after him and how he lives. I am doing her individual planning sheet at the moment and want to include looking at hamsters and their way of life, which area would it come under? I though maybe Understanding the World?

Understanding the world is one aspect but have you also considered social and emotional development. - caring, thinking of others, empathy etc.
