New childminder - need some advice regarding paperwork?

Hi all,

I am just getting my head around planning, obs etc but im struggling with all the paper! Where to put it? Do you keep all planning together in one folder (group and individual) or do you keep individual in the childs file/learning journey? As i type this it sounds daft but im confusing myself!

Likewise with obs where do i keep them? I seem to have sheets and sheets of paperwork and havent a clue how to link it all together!

Ive done learning journeys in a scrapbook type way and have a daily contact diary for parents. Do i need a development folder too?

You sound really organised. I have genaeral planning e.g. activities around the seasons in a general planning folder and any child specific planning in their personal folder. However I have not come up with a planning and observation procedure that isnt time consuming so at present record planning, observations and next steps in the daily diary. it will be interesting if this is enough when I get inspected.
