    Default observations

    I have just taken on a 1year old for 1 1/2 days a week. can someone please tell me if i still have to do observations & planning ?

    I only have a child one day a week but do a daily diary and learning journal. Obviously on short hours you might only do one observation and assessment every week or fortnight. You might consider doing an extended diary which incorporates both.

    1 1/2 days a week is quite a lot!! I do a lot of 2 day a week children and they all have diaries and Learning Journey files.

    I use my play plan - it's in free resources at the top of the forum if you want a nosey
