    Default linking eyfs to planing

    Hi all,
    when planning and linking in eyfs do you need to just the area of learning it cover so for a craft activity PSED ,CL, PD,AD or be more specific PSED 1,2 CL 1,2,3 PD 1 AD 2 or more specific again stating the exact criteria the activity meets? please help

    For group or theme planning I tend to link just to the areas.

    For individual obs then I link to the area and aspect as it's easier to see if I'm missing anything.

    As Sarah says, it is up to you - experiment and see what works best for you.

    For obs I only ever link to the 7 areas of learning, it's quicker that way and means I do not need to keep getting the book out to look them up! When I do a termly review I read through all the sub-sections and find the 'best fit' stage for the child in the DM to note down.
