Nature's Kids pointed me in the direction of this website, some good guides and information to help you think how/why children behave.

gosh there ar quite a few there aren't there! and I am sure they will cause a good few discussions - its all subjective isn't... perhaps the articles should be doled out randomly to those who are interested and we then put the finer points across and critcially evaluate??? (I thought I'd heard the last of that term when i finished uni lol)
I have begun to have a read through - I am on the article 'children don't really misbehave'...... I certainly refer to my hubby as misbehaving
Now I take issue with the 'badness is in the adults mind' - of course it is.... the child is still learning and to learn they need to understand that their behaviour is not wanted nor is it acceptable - therefore it is misbehaviour.
I think this thing of assuming ALL adults think a child is bad if they DARE to say a child is misbehaving is out of order to be frank. I have only ever come across one child in all my years of childcare which I thought was a true little horror and several years on - seeing this child she is definately getting worse - she is a horrid child and will make an even more horrid adult - sadly because her parents think she is an angel.
thanks though for the articles, I will read them when i get chance.
That's my holiday reading sorted, and no doubt it will lead to other things.
Thank you for the link.
