It is an issue that has been driving me nuts. We have had a large extention built over the summer all the windows in the old part of the house have been replaced and there are all the new windows so 23 windows and 2 sets of French Doors and 2 Velux to curtain or blind. I have used blackout blinds in the playroom and bought Ikea ones because they come with a fab attachment that the blind cord is fixed through and it screws to the wall securing the cord ridgid. Fantastic on the long French window (all ikea blinds come with the same drop), when you put them on a standard window the cord is too long to fit the gismo to the wall and we cant find a way to shorten the cord so the cord and fitting apprently hang and rest on the window sil-nuts!!!

Thank you for that have ordered it for the information as one cleat not enough for me as i have 9 curtains in mine I bought some plastic cup hooks and stuck them on the window and wind the cords round this.
