    Default Daily diary- competition

OK, having a silly half-hour and feeling a bit bored. I'm going to put a header sheet in my mindee's diary, for the parents to know what its about and to hopefully encourage them to tell me about their weekends (the child's) and maybe even include a comment.
I was thinking of a little rhyme or poem but i'm no good at them, would you like to have a little virtual competition?
    So far i've done:
This diary is a record of my day,
Read about how much fun i've had today
How many bottles of milk i drank and,
how much i've had to eat,
My! what a lot of nappies (may scrap this line )

Go on! See if you can do better (i'm sure someone will )

    Let's see

This diary is a record of my day
so you can see how I have fun and play
What I have done and where I have been
Who I met and what I've seen

You can see at a peep
what time I lay down and went to sleep
what I ate and what I drank
and the number of nappies that sometimes stank!

Please don't glance and close this book
go on be daring and have a look
When you finished don't be shy
add your own notes and don't ask why

Months from now we will read this book
and laugh a lot at the little time it took
It will make us smile and make us grin
and be glad we had these little pages to look back in

How is that for a start?

And all the toys on which I've slobbered
And will you read it? Nah - can't be bothered

This Diary tells you about my day
The different things I did and say
What I ate and how I slept
The different people that I met (meaning playgroups)
Each day I learn about different things
We even have a good old sing
As you can see it's been lots of fun
Even when there's been no sun
Do not worry I've been just fine
And looking forward to next time.

Now please take time to read this book
It will not hurt to have a look
See the word's that (your name) has wrote
If any queries just make a note.

(Not that good ..but it ryhmes....I guess )
Thought I'd have a go though.......

I hope to think in several years
We'll look back through happy tears
At how I've changed in many ways
And all because of 'happy days'

Just added a bit more..I'm quite into this...even though I'm not very good . Having fun though ...

You lot made me laugh and wonder how many of our parents do read all the entries we make?

My lot either read and add to it or never look!
