I complete daily diaries for children up to 3 or older if requested

It is good practice to do them for all children within the Eyfs.
Having said that there are no absolute rules to say what to do so it is up to you.
I do the same as Noodles
I do one for my 6yr old after schooler, buts really basic but mom likes to know that shes has a snack and what shes been upto.
Each of my mindees has a day book whatever age they are. I feel it's a way of proving I communicate with parents and vice versa. Whether they read them or not is a different matter!

I do them for my under 3's but if a parent wants one when they are older I would also do them one
I agree, it's good practice to use one whatever age the child is and it is evidence that you have good communication with the parents.
I do daily diaries until they start school. All my parents at the mo really like them!
I do them for all my children
