Default NCB: Early Years Developmental Journals

At the ncma event yesterday John Oates of Open University did a presentation on these journals
They are from National Children's Bureau (NCB)and approved by the DfE

Take a look and see if they can help in your Progress check and doing your records for children

Some cms found these very very useful...we were told you can use an app...not sure how that works
If you use them how do you find them?

We were at the PACEY event also yesterday. The app is not available as yet - it wont be for around another 2 months he said. Keep an eye out for it though as it certainly looked very interesting. x

The Journals are very good - I have already added them to the end of this thread -

I am sure they will provide a lot of childminders with reassurance if they are caring for children with disabilities

These look great. I like that they're not linked to ages - just steps. It's useful for assessing children's starting points when getting information from parents rather than sifting through Development Matters.
