Parents not at work?
As the title says, parent seems to have dropped her hours at work to 2 days rather than 4, but still bringing little one in for the four and they are full days.
Any one else have parents like this?

I have a LO 4 days a week ... mum seems to work 3 of the days, and have the 4th to herself! ( but she does now have to work a day at the weekend )
doesn't bother me ... LO is in a routine and so are we, and it gives mum time to do stuff she wants/needs to do without small 'helper'. ( and I AM getting paid to have LO those hours! ) On the plus side, if I need an early finish, or to take a day off, that mum can usually accommodate it!
It does bother me if parents have time off, and expect me to hang around waiting for them to drop off, or even, wait for them to pick up as ''oh, I'm on holiday'' is very annoying!
I have another LO for a day, just so mum can have some 'me' time! She 'was' meant to be doing a training course/studying for something , but I don't think that has happened yet

I often look after children whose parents don't work at all so it seems quite normal to me. If they're paying for the space I don't mind what they do while the child is here.
I currently have one child whose mum doesn't work but send him to me for socialisation and to have some time to herself. Then I have siblings who come 2 days a week. Neither parent work on one of the days, so they use that day to spend time together. That's the day they drop off dead on time in the morning and collect at the very last minute in the evening. They're obviously making the most of every free minute!
As I say, as long as they pay me I'm happy!

I don’t see it as unusual, though I know a lot of childcare providers regard it as odd, or even in some way suspicious.
Let’s be honest, school is the UK's biggest free childcare provider, and I don’t see non-employed parents having to explain why they send their children to school.

Not an issue for me so long as
1. I get paid on time, and
2. they're still dropped off and collected on time lol
I have even been known to send parents away and to go get some 'me' time when they've tried collecting early because they're off

I've currently got 2 children here for 2 full days each where one parent doesn't work and I know that they really appreciate the time they have to themselves. In fact they tell me weekly how they wouldn't be able to cope if their child didn't come here. Both children are the 3rd child in each house so I think the parent goes home to 'catch up and sleep'. They're never late or behind in payments. So everyone is happy.
