British values
One of the new judgements in the Common Inspection Framework - under leadership and management - will be how well the provider promotes British values.
Whether you agree with the title 'British values' or think it should be 'civil values' or something else entirely is not up for debate - the DfE are calling it British values and we have to get on with it!
Childcare.co.uk have published the following guidance for all childminders to access - https://www.childcare.co.uk/informat...british-values.
If you have any questions please ask

I also got 10 out of 10 on the citizenship test linked from your blog. I have to admit I thought I guessed on two questions, but maybe I did really know them.
I still think, nothing Sarah mentions is rocket science and is what we/most of us normally do, but with a fancy new heading!!!!!

Should we wait until after the general 'election' to see whose British Values count?
I suspect the Greens will have a different set of British Values to Nige's Neo-Fascists (sorry, I mean UK Intolerance Party.)

No Bunyip we will just get on with it and nod in the direction of St David's Day with a focus on St George's Day and teach all the children to share and stand in queues while singing 'Rule Britannia' by next Friday and we will not be swayed by who has the greenest grass

The daffodils are from Wales Sarah, but I think the soup is from our North of the border friends- the ones with the amazing tablet and pineapple tarts

Thorntons do it.
At least they do a version which is pure sugar and fat. I believe the proper Scottish recipe is pure sugar and fat with added sugar and fat.
