Default Political interference is 'damaging schools'...

....this statement is by the previous Ofsted chief Sir David Bell
Do you believe that politicians' meddling is damaging the Early Years too?

Yes especially when ministers take over the role of Early Years with no prior background in the area (I have a 9 month old son) just doesn't cut it imo. Guidance should come from professionals and people experienced in the field.

I'm in general agreement, though I wouldn't necessarily want some Rambo type running the Ministry of Defense.

Thanks Simona the 2nd link is great and I will be definitely be giving this some thought as I play with the little ones. I have a good friend who is a teacher and I have noticed with her own son 3 that she can limit his play when she turns too "teachy".
