    Sir Michael Wilshaw gave this speech today called 'Unseen children'

    Ofsted | Unseen children - HMCI speech

    and this is the PLA response
    Cms rarely do the EYFS Profile but good to keep updated on proposed changes

    started reading it and got bored at the drivel very quickly, maybe because im tired? I will try again tmw thanks Simona x

    It is long and heavy...keep it to one side and get a glass of wine when you are ready for reading it!

    I do appreciate what he is trying to say but I wish his tone was less confrontational...it is so much Gove's style.

    I am sure all schools, if they are failing children, want to improve but could he not say 'we wish to engage with these schools and work together to reach all children and raise standards' rather than clamping down on them?..no wonder teachers are fed up with his bashing!

    Wilshaw uses the same tactics with EY providers...improve or I'll shut you down ...that won't win him any followers

    i was drinking a vodka at the time but it just wasnt helping lol i think i would need about ten.

    I know they have a lot of red tape to cover but do they need to be so boring about it all?

    Wilshaw now wants EY assessment aligned to SATS.....he's a man on a mission...slow down!! Rome was not built in a day!
    How many more changes are going to hit us?
