I am looking for a sand and water table. I want one that will last and that doesn't take up too much space. I love the ones in the education catalogues with the metal frame but they are sooo expensive. Does anyone have one and are they worth it??

i paid £40 for my ELC one in 2005. it's only just on its last legs now
if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got
Hi, I have recently bought the ELC one, I really like it. It comes with lots of different attachments for water play etc and some sand toys, just a nice size, not too big. The legs come off easily so easy to store. I got 20% off as I had a voucher, so thought I would buy one ready for summer. x
I use a couple of durable plastic underbed storgae boxes with lids from Ikea for sand and water tables - I can add and change resources as I want to and they pack away nicely too, as well as being about £8 each! I can put them on the floor for babies, milk crates or a table -very versatile I find!!

I bought this one from TTS, within a year the frame had gone wonky and the washer on the plug hole no longer stops leaks, definitely wouldn't recommend.
I bought this one from Tesco's in the sale - it's great as a water table but would be no good for sand. No plug or drain hole, you just tip the water out!

Keep smiling!
Thanks everyone! A trip to town is in order, Ikea and ELC!
I've made my own from an old IKEA table and an underbed storage box. You can see it here: http://www.rainbowplayhouse.blogspot...gardening.html
I just saw the thread about you doing this - am really happy to have a chat. I think you may be interested in how I'm using my garden space (what there is of it!). I'm planning a post about it - just need to get some good pics when it is actually 1) sunny and 2) tidy. I'll keep waiting for those two magical things to happen at once then.
I love this ! is it the Lack side table ? where did you get the storage box from ? x
Argos have a sand/water table sale on
