    Default Ofsted fees...confused

Got my yearly invoice from Ofsted just now. It says £35 which is what I always pay.
But in the Table of fees it says:
If you are registered on the EYR you have to pay a standard or higher fee

Standard fee £35 if you operate for less than 45weeks a yr, less than 5 days a week or less than 3 days
Higher fee £220 if you operate more than 45weeks a yr, 5 days a week or more than 4hrs a day.

Confused now as I have 4weeks off (48weeks working) 5 days a week and 10hrs per day.
I seriously hope they are not expecting me to pay £220??????

I've not seen that before. My last invoice just said £35 (unless it did say that & I didn't read it!)

I'd give them a ring and ask about it.

Just pay the £35 as normal - they will get back to you if something is wrong i used to own an afterschool club and it wasn't until we closed and thus cancelled our registration that they rang me and said that for the previous 3 years they had put us on the wrong fee tarrif, to Ofsted's credit i wouldn't have know any difference and really did appreciate the £245 rebait xx

I paid £35 in May - if they want more then I'm sure they'll ask for it. Meanwhile the money's better off in your account!

I wouldn't pay the £220 unless they asked for it!! And I certainly wouldn't be ringing to check

I paniced when I got my invoice this week too but underneath it says something about excluding childminders from this fee structure so it is £35 for us
