I haven't always stuck to this in the past but i will be in future:-
a minimum of one hour in the morning, before 8am Double.
After school, minimum of 2 hours or a session fee of about 7.50.
    Good luck!

Is it worth checking what the after school clubs charge locally?

You might get an idea from that... every area is different really.

Otherwise, I'd just use your normal hourly rate

    Hi

I just charge my normal hourly rate but if it was before 8.00 then I would charge more. See if you can find out what other childminders charge and the kids clubs.

    Good luck

Why is "phonics" not spelled the way it sounds?

i charge a minimum of 3 hours a day at £4 an hour so parents pay me a minimum of £12 a day. This can be split before and after school but they pay £12 if only used for half an hour. I then drop tonormal hourly chareg in holidays. I also chareg a retainer fee if they do not use every day to keep that space unless I can fill it wioth another child

I charge normal rate for before and after school-if it's under 1 hour I charge the full hour (I also have them after school).

I think if I were to have them for only a short period of time I would work out an amount per day rather than per hour to make it worth your while (in fact going to add that to my paperwork incase I get an enquiry).

I think Sarah's advice is good - check out the competition in the area first you don't want to price yourself out of the market

My hours are 8am to 6pm so it would be my normal rate but I am introducing minimum hours per week.
Before those hours I would charge extra as well

Same as Sarah I would check out the clubs
