I am working 8-4.30 on New year's Eve for my shift working parents. Only day booked for one child at the moment. Altough I am pretty sure I will have my respite child at some points (not xmas & boxing day though).

    Not working xmas eve though

I usually work all over xmas (not including christmas day, boxing day and new years day) but this year I finish on the 23rd Dec and start back on the 4th Jan. Will be nice to spend it just with family this year for a change.

I'm officially finishing the Wednesday before Christmas and not going back until the Tuesday after New year - but unofficially having 1 lo Christmas Eve and New years Eve as mom on her own and no other option (don't mind as he's a sweetie)

It's the 1st time I've had any extra time off and really looking forward to the extra couple of days before Christmas to get things done

I am closed from Wed 22nd to Wed 5th Jan - and I can't wait. Before Xmas I will be rushing about doing all my family shopping and organising everyone else! Then it will probably take me a couple of days to get use to the idea that I can relax and watch tv while it snows outside with my kids.

I'm finishing on 22nd and not back until 4th Jan.

I've never worked Christmas Eve, I have it in my contracts that this is my family time and hubby is always off work between Christmas and New Year so don't work then either.

It's nice to have a break and relax.

same as most of you - I'm doing a half day on Xmas eve (then straight out to lunch with the pil's!) and not back until the 4th!!!

I've only had 1 week off properly this whole year, so i can't wait, especially as dd is 21 months old so it will be extra special with her!!!

Awww you all so lucky. I can't afford to lose the money (I don't charge for my holidays) so I'm offering to work in hope that they won't need me
