I am not registered yet. would be ilegal to babysit?

I am leaving my job in a nursery in two weeks time and I have just ordered some business card for flexible child care to give out to parents I already know or other I may meet at playgroups, playground ect...
I hope to do some babysitting until I get my business up and running
Is it illegal, if I babysit in the childrens house?
By your own experience if you ever babysat, most parents are ok with you taking your own child to do the job?

No its not illegal as baby sitters dont need to be registered

Couldnt answer about taking own kids along as I have never babysat

Do you mean babysitting as in between the hours of 8pm and 2pm for example, or caring for the child in their own home during daylight hours? It's not babysitting if it's during the day...

If you are caring for a child in THEIR OWN home then whatever you want to call yourself it is not illegal to do it. With ref to taking your own child with you if it's during the day then quite a few nannies do but obviously it depends on what the parent thinks.
