Childminder ELC discount

Hi

I just went up the city and popped in ELC. I bought a couple of things and went to the check out with my childminding discount card and got 20% off instead of the usual 10%!

The cashier didn't know why but it all came up under the childcare section so she assumes that the discount has been increased from 10 to 20! Yippee!

Just thought I'd let you know - might have been an error or only a temporary thing but I definitely got 20% off today using my card.

I've heard some of you mention ELC discounts before. Does anyone know if this applies in Scotland as well????

I can't see why not Emler - if not, you should complain as it's discrimination!

I'd pop in and ask - make sure you take your registration certificate or NCMA card though as they will need these to confirm you are a childminder.

I think you have to give them your NCMA card when you get it

They have a little form for you to complete with your details and reg number.

I think it's another one of those cases of it depends which store you go to. I have got discount twice just by mentioning I was in the process of registering!!
