Facebook photos - READ!

A friend of mine has just posted this message on Facebook and I thought I should pass it on to you all....

Facebook has agreed to let third party advertisers use your posted pictures WITHOUT your permission. Click on SETTINGS up at the top where you see the Logout link. Select PRIVACY. Then select NEWSFEEDS and WALL. Next select the tab FACEBOOK ADS. There is a drop down box, select NO ONE. Then SAVE your changes. (REPOST to let your friends know!)

another problem si told me about, when you delete pics from facebook they are still on the web. i havent tried it yet might do in a mo but think its wrong if you delete pics then that should be it.

ill change my settings now.

It is worrying, isn't it. I just hope it isn't one of those "chain" things. You know what some people are like. But better to be safe than sorry

Thanks - just changed mine. I have all my pics set to just friends viewing to stop nosy's looking but didn't even know about this setting.

thanks, I changed mine yesterday as a friend pasted this on, I also went on and changed hubby's

I only let friends see my photos too, as I find it odd when I can see friends tagged on photos then can see all of the photo album
